MY STORY

Hi,

I'm Esther, the Founder of Esthetic Magnet. I have spent my career life as a Registered Nurse for 23 years.

Juggling work with 3 babies- 2 under the age of 5, I have been sleep deprived and perpetually tired for more than a decade.

The stress of combining  work and motherhood was taking its toll on me. I have fought drooping eyelids and mental fog on night shifts, in a very busy 12 hour shift ward. I have repetitively been told, " You look so tired, is everything ok?"

I felt like I had the work-life balance wrong, and I wanted to quit work and be a full time mum. However, I had to soldier on as I needed the money to take care of my munchkins.

One Saturday after a night shift, and I remember this vividly when my second was only 3 months old. My husband would wake me up every few minutes to breastfeed the baby. I had a total sleep of only 2 hours, broken in 15-20minutes intervals.

As a busy mum, I have always been on the hunt for quick makeup hacks that would make me look and feel more put together, on the days when I am being pulled in a million directions.

Why?- because makeup is great for faking that whole " I have my life together" vibe when really, it feels like it's an inch from falling apart.

One evening as I was browsing through the internet, I came across magnetic eyelashes. With no doubt, I knew this was my fix!

I discovered that magnetic eyelashes would elongate and lift your eyes to look more awake and make you feel more put together, in less than 2 minutes  - at the comfort of your own home.

I knew I had found just the thing for me.

My first trial of magnetic eyelashes was a game changer. I appeared more awake, as my eyes looked elongated and lifted. That made me feel so beautiful and took my confidence to the next level. However, when I put my glasses on, the eyelashes fluttered  against them and blocked my vision. I then discovered that the lashes were not glasses approved.

On the other hand, something again felt off. I did not like the eyeliner look on me. Instead, I needed a " no liner look" magnetic eyeliner.

Immediately, something struck my mind and I thought, " could there be a clear magnetic eyeliner out there?" 

Unfortunately, there was nothing like it on the market.

Being excluded from a trendy beauty product that every woman was raving about, I took matters into my own hands. I started an extensive research around magnetic eyelashes, to eliminate any barriers that could ever come my way.

As I was doing my research, I also discovered that the naturally blonde and brown haired were on the hunt for brown magnetic eyelashes, as this product had not been given much attention in the beauty industry.

AHA MOMENT : Beauty should not be reserved for an exclusive few !

Suddenly, it came to me in a flash. I knew I had to do something about it, and hence the birth of Esthetic Magnet.

MY BELIEF : Living in a cutting edge, fast paced world- I believe there is a need for beauty products that follow suit.

Why Esthetic Magnet?- I am here to promote inclusivity in the beauty industry, and I have just begun. My aim is to grow Esthetic Magnet to a one stop , quick fix beauty brand. I have built a collection of magnetic eyelashes tailored to glasses wearers and also brown magnetic eyelashes.
